Spider Design Beaded Bracelet

This bracelet features a porcelain focal cab with a Mississippian Period spider design that was transferred to the cab and then hand painted with china paint..  The cab is bezeled with seed beads and the spider web design is fully beaded with size 15 japanese seed beads.  The spider web design with the cab is backed in leather and mounted on a metal bracelet core.  This core is adjustable and is completely covered in soft goat hide leather for a very comfortable fit.

The Mound Builders of the Mississippian Period from around 800-1600AD used this spider design on gorgets, and carved stone tablets.  The Moundbuilder society was a very large social complex consisting of numerous 'cities' and cultural complexes that ranged from Ohio all the way south to Florida and as far West as St. Louis.

Size: 6 inches long inside 1 inch gap at back (adjustable) Spider web portion is 2.5 inches tall by 3 inches wide remainder of bracelet band is 1 1/8 inch wide.
